A real challenge for tightrope walkers and budding climbers

A special feature of the Biosphärenpark Großes Walsertal is the extraordinary variety of plants on the "Hahnenkopf" in Faschina, which have developed due to the geological conditions in this area.

High above Bürserberg at an altitude of 1,250 m, the Rona Alpe lies on the sunny Tschengla plateau. Located approx. 10 minutes from the walkers’ car park, guests to the Alpe can find a daily choice of fresh natural produce, which can also be purchased to take away.

The mountain lake can be comfortably reached on foot from the Fontanella Säge bus stop in about 30 minutes. The slightly ascending and descending, low-traffic, asphalted road (access by car only permitted for residents) leads past the houses of Garlitt and on to the Seewaldseetobel.

A natural monument in Klostertal

The Mason Waterfall - a natural monument in Braz in Klostertal - has a drop height of 80 metres. The waterfall is fed by the Masonbach spring, which rises about 300 metres behind the waterfall on the Masonalpe.

Visit the barefoot trail on the inner Parpfienz Alpe in Brand. The starting point is accessible in just a few minutes with the Dorfbahn cable car. From the top station simply walk (still wearing your shoes) towards the Innere Parpfienz Alpe.

It all began with the appearance of the Virgin Mary to a shepherd who was cured whilst bathing his injured foot in a spring. Soon thereafter a bath house was built, and the spot was christened the “red spring”.

14 state-of-the-art cable cars and ski lifts, plus 55 km of top quality ski runs through stunning mountain scenery ensure an unrivalled winter experience. Snow-making equipment on 80% of the runs guarantees more than enough of the white stuff.
