Ausflugsziele in Vorarlberg

In early 2018 a new climbing route was established on the massive Fallbachwand by the waterfall of the same name, known hitherto only to ice climbers.

With a total area of 1,400 m², the "Alvierbad" natural bathing lake in Brand is fed with pure drinking water. A regeneration area featuring many thousands of different water plants cleanses and filters the water organically to ensure a pristine environment.

It all began with the appearance of the Virgin Mary to a shepherd who was cured whilst bathing his injured foot in a spring. Soon thereafter a bath house was built, and the spot was christened the “red spring”.

Alp Stafel is located at 1,540 m above sea level and can be reached in about 30 minutes on foot from the Faschina car park. Here you can buy mountain cheese as well as milk and fresh alpine butter.

The Laguz-Alpe is located in a small side valley southwest of the Großes Walsertal (not to be confused with the better-known Kleines Walsertal!). This destination is interesting as a detour on the trip over the Faschina-Joch or as an independent, small tour.

A special feature of the Biosphärenpark Großes Walsertal is the extraordinary variety of plants on the "Hahnenkopf" in Faschina, which have developed due to the geological conditions in this area.

A real challenge for tightrope walkers and budding climbers

14 state-of-the-art cable cars and ski lifts, plus 55 km of top quality ski runs through stunning mountain scenery ensure an unrivalled winter experience. Snow-making equipment on 80% of the runs guarantees more than enough of the white stuff.
