Enjoying a sunny, peaceful spot beside the Mellenbach stream, the Mellau swimming pool is the perfect place for water lovers to spend a fine summer day.

Alp Stafel is located at 1,540 m above sea level and can be reached in about 30 minutes on foot from the Faschina car park. Here you can buy mountain cheese as well as milk and fresh alpine butter.

Alpe Wildmoos is located in Bezau, at the foot of the Winterstaude at 1400 metres above sea level and is easily accessible by the "Bezau" cable car. We manage the alp with 30 cows and process the milk according to old tradition to alp mountain cheese, butter, curd and yoghurt.

On hot summer days, the Schoppernau forest pool features shady spots under large fir trees. Those keen on swimming can do their laps in the 25-m pool. The water is a comfortable 24 degrees. Kids splash and play in the kids pool and enjoy slipping down the slide into the water.

The mountain lake can be comfortably reached on foot from the Fontanella Säge bus stop in about 30 minutes. The slightly ascending and descending, low-traffic, asphalted road (access by car only permitted for residents) leads past the houses of Garlitt and on to the Seewaldseetobel.

Above Schwarzenberg there is a small outdoor pool that packs a big punch - with fantastic views this is the sunniest and most peaceful spot around!

A special feature of the Biosphärenpark Großes Walsertal is the extraordinary variety of plants on the "Hahnenkopf" in Faschina, which have developed due to the geological conditions in this area.

If you want to feel as though time has stood still, come and visit the Bizauer Obermoos. Tie your laces together, hang your walking boots around your neck, and let your bare feet rejoice in their discovery of many thousands of years of history in the life of a peat bog.

The siblings Merbot, Diedo and Ilga, who descended from the count, left their home and riches behind and dedicated themselves to the Christianization of the Bregenzerwald in the service of the Mehrerau Abbey. Ilga said goodbye to her brothers one last time on the Lorena Pass, and they wept.

The Au outdoor pool is furnished with solar heating and the water temperature is kept a more or less constant 24 C. Those who’d like to swim laps can take advantage of the lanes in the 25-m pool. In the kids’ pool close by, bubble jets ensure fun for little ones.
