The Egg Museum was founded as a local history museum in 1904. It is the oldest valley museum in the state of Vorarlberg. In 1988 it was reopened after several years of storage of the inventory in the old elementary school. The collection focuses on the Bregenzerwald region.

A women's museum? And one in a rural location? The Fraunemuseum Hittisau in the Bregenzerwald (Austria) shows that both are possible – and have been for over twenty years now. It was the initiative of Elisabeth Stöckler that brought about the founding of the museum in 2000.

The mountain lake can be comfortably reached on foot from the Fontanella Säge bus stop in about 30 minutes. The slightly ascending and descending, low-traffic, asphalted road (access by car only permitted for residents) leads past the houses of Garlitt and on to the Seewaldseetobel.

On hot summer days, the Schoppernau forest pool features shady spots under large fir trees. Those keen on swimming can do their laps in the 25-m pool. The water is a comfortable 24 degrees. Kids splash and play in the kids pool and enjoy slipping down the slide into the water.

The swimming pool features numerous lanes for lap swimming. The non-swimming area features a wide slide, fountain shower and a small climbing net. The large yellow-orange 55-m adventure slide with its many curves is especially popular with kids and teens.
