Ausflugsziele in Vorarlberg

The starting point of the cave tour is the car park in Schönenbach. After a 30-minute leisurely hike on the Schönenbach circular path, we reach the turn-off to the cave. From here, it is now a short distance of 200 metres in altitude to overcome to the imposing entrance portal of the snail cave.

The Au outdoor pool is furnished with solar heating and the water temperature is kept a more or less constant 24 C. Those who’d like to swim laps can take advantage of the lanes in the 25-m pool. In the kids’ pool close by, bubble jets ensure fun for little ones.

A brief foray into the history and materials of bows and arrows opens the door to the world of archery. Learning the correct posture, shooting technique, aiming and letting go awakens the joy of archery.

The "Schollamoos" is located in the immediate vicinity of the centre of Alberschwende. In the past, peat was extracted from this moor. Today, a well-maintained walking path leads through the birch forests and the moor area. 

Thanks to its privileged location next to the cycle path, the Bezau swimming pool is ideal for arriving by bike. The biggest attraction for kids and youths is the bright blue double water slide.

In a fairytale forest, at the entrance to Sibratsgfäll, lies the idyllic natural moor bath.

In cooperation with the Nature Park School Lingenau and the association 60+, the municipality of Lingenau and the Nagelfluhkette Nature Park developed a concept for a "museum under the open sky".

This resulted in the Natur.Museum in Dörnelstraße (directly behind the church), Lingenau.

On hot summer days, the Schoppernau forest pool features shady spots under large fir trees. Those keen on swimming can do their laps in the 25-m pool. The water is a comfortable 24 degrees. Kids splash and play in the kids pool and enjoy slipping down the slide into the water.

The mountain lake can be comfortably reached on foot from the Fontanella Säge bus stop in about 30 minutes. The slightly ascending and descending, low-traffic, asphalted road (access by car only permitted for residents) leads past the houses of Garlitt and on to the Seewaldseetobel.

If you want to feel as though time has stood still, come and visit the Bizauer Obermoos. Tie your laces together, hang your walking boots around your neck, and let your bare feet rejoice in their discovery of many thousands of years of history in the life of a peat bog.
