Ausflugsziele in Vorarlberg

The Klostertal Museum in Wald am Arlberg opened in 1994 and is housed in the former "Thöny-Hof". The eventful history of the estate can be traced back to its construction around the middle of the 17th century. The farm was inhabited and farmed until 1959.

The Montafon Tourism Museum in Gaschurn is located in an old early fair house and has existed since 1992. For 17 years, the history of tourism was presented here, but since 2009 the house has been reoriented.

Hofwüstung Schöneberg und Wang-Hus At the beginning of the 20th century, house no. 2/4 on Schöneberg, which is first mentioned in written sources in the 15th century, was demolished. In 2012, the wall remains of the courtyard deserted were archaeologically investigated.

The Montafon mining museum in Silbertal is an outstanding example of family-friendly history education. All age groups can experience the exciting world of mining in this exhibition and get to know first-hand the mining ways of life of bygone days.

The Alamannen-Museumsdorf Mäder is dedicated to the history and culture of the Alamanni, who immigrated to Vorarlberg in the 2nd half of the 6th century AD at the latest. They subsequently shaped the language, customs and mentality of the region.

The Zeppelin is a pioneer of airship travel and over the years has become a real cult object.

The open-air museum Villa Rustica, near the town of Rankweil, consists of three buildings of an ancient Roman farming estate, inhabited from the first to the fifth centuries A.D.

High above Lake Constance rises "The Meersburg", the landmark of the region. The old Meersburg, the new Meersburg Castle and the excellently preserved town as well as the vineyards around the town make the visit a special experience.

Get to know the "Lake Dwellings" World Heritage Site, walk across Lake Constance on a footbridge and be fascinated by ancient techniques from the Stone Age - the lake dwellings bring a long-gone, sunken world back to life.
