Alp Stafel is located at 1,540 m above sea level and can be reached in about 30 minutes on foot from the Faschina car park. Here you can buy mountain cheese as well as milk and fresh alpine butter.

This hike takes you from the Hochjoch cable car mountain station through flowering alpine rose meadows to the Innerkapell alpine pasture (at 1,670 m), where, with a bit of luck, you can look over the dairyman's shoulder as he makes cheese. The way back is via the same route.

The Laguz-Alpe is located in a small side valley southwest of the Großes Walsertal (not to be confused with the better-known Kleines Walsertal!). This destination is interesting as a detour on the trip over the Faschina-Joch or as an independent, small tour.
