Ausflugsziele in Vorarlberg

The "Schollamoos" is located in the immediate vicinity of the centre of Alberschwende. In the past, peat was extracted from this moor. Today, a well-maintained walking path leads through the birch forests and the moor area. 

The Alberschwende - Brüggelekopf ski area is located in the Bregenzerwald. There are 2.5 km of slopes for skiing and snowboarding. 2 lifts transport the guests. The winter sports area lies at an altitude of 720 to 1,200 m.

The winter season extends from mid December until the beginning of April, with natural snow crunching under your skis and the superb panorama demanding to be looked at!

This is a place where excellent conditions for skiing can be expected: with 109 kilometres of ski runs and 29 ski lifts and cable cars Mellau Damüls Faschina is the largest ski area in the Bregenzerwald.

The family ski resort that is right on your doorstep. Skiers of all ages appreciate its central location, its quick and easy accessibility and the abundance of natural snow throughout the area.

The attractive mountain village of Schoppernau in the inner Bregenzerwald is the workplace for those local mountain farmers, whose animals graze the valley, the woodland smallholdings and the high alpine pastures.

In the attic of the multi-purpose building Nr. 137 in Damüls a new highlight for children was installed - a more than 170 m² large indoor playground. The new "games paradise" will delight children and parents not only in bad weather!

Since its formation in 1999, the Bregenzerwald Werkraum has really created a platform for itself: work produced in the Werkraum is recognised worldwide, and its talented and innovative craftsmen and women are in great demand, both at home and abroad.

A women's museum? And one in a rural location? The Fraunemuseum Hittisau in the Bregenzerwald (Austria) shows that both are possible – and have been for over twenty years now. It was the initiative of Elisabeth Stöckler that brought about the founding of the museum in 2000.
