Ausflugsziele in Vorarlberg

In the hinterland of Lake Constance lies one of the most beautiful castles in Upper Swabia. Rural idylls with orchards and hop gardens characterise its surroundings.

Hopfengut No20 is located above the hills of the hop town of Tettnang and combines hop cultivation, brewery, museum, shop and restaurant under one roof.

The Dornbirn City Museum is housed in a 200-year-old patrician house directly on the market square. On three floors, selected objects and works of art present important chapters of the city's history.

The Bludenz town archivist Alfons Leuprecht (1867-1940) started a collection of historical, folkloristic and natural history objects related to Bludenz even before the First World War.

The Vorarlberg World of Museums combines seven museums under one roof.

The Egg Museum was founded as a local history museum in 1904. It is the oldest valley museum in the state of Vorarlberg. In 1988 it was reopened after several years of storage of the inventory in the old elementary school. The collection focuses on the Bregenzerwald region.

The Kunstmuseum St. Gallen, with its attractive, temporary exhibitions of contemporary and modern art, enjoys international renown.

The toboggan run from Alpengasthaus Millrütte in Götzis is more leisurely. The beautiful one-kilometre-long route takes tobogganists through picturesque scenery to St. Arbogast.
