Ausflugsziele in Vorarlberg

There are many favourite places along the shores of Lake Constance and one of them is the bathing area at the Wocherhafen. The harbour has long since gone, but the name has survived. The area today is a popular bathing spot with a parking lot, kiosk and public places to enjoy a barbecue.

The Steinblock bouldering hall in Dornbirn opened on 1 August. Bouldering - climbing at jumping height without a rope, but on thick mats - has become increasingly popular in recent years.

The Bruggerloch is a bathing lake that’s three hectares in size, seven metres deep and conveniently located directly next to the cycle path. But parking spaces are scarce.

The Steinblock bouldering hall in Rankweil offers an uncompromising bouldering experience for beginners, experienced climbers and fitness enthusiasts. No previous experience, special equipment or courses are necessary for bouldering. Just come and try it out.

The inland basin in Hard is framed on one side by the open-air swimming pool and the Grüne Damm (Green Dyke) on the other. Children can speed along the top of this dam on their trainer or kids’ bikes while others can throw rocks into the water and the adults can enjoy the view from it.

Meeting place, barbecue area, bathing spot and insider tip for the most beautiful sunsets on Lake Constance. The Pipeline in Bregenz runs from Bregenz harbour to the Lochau open-air swimming area and offers plenty of places along the shore for a quick swim.

The Old Rhine meanders along the border with Switzerland into Lake Constance. The nature landscape of the Old Rhein promises an enjoyable leisure program for everybody. You may have walks in the evening or a bike ride along the Rhein. There are also barbecue spots where you can spend your time.

Rohrspitz is part of the Rhine Delta’s nature reserve and is therefore the ideal location for long walks or bike trips with places to stop for a quick refreshing dip in Lake Constance. The 300-metre long beach is a special attraction for families.

The lakes that are the Paspels Seen, a favourite bathing spot for many locals, are to be found in Rankweil. Around 20 hectares of lake were created for recreation here – including swimming and angling.

With an area of some 2,000 m2 and a climbing wall extending over 3,000 m2, the K1 climbing hall in Dornbirn offers challenges and fun for climbers of all abilities.
