The Old Rhine meanders along the border with Switzerland into Lake Constance. The nature landscape of the Old Rhein promises an enjoyable leisure program for everybody. You may have walks in the evening or a bike ride along the Rhein. There are also barbecue spots where you can spend your time.

There are many favourite places along the shores of Lake Constance and one of them is the bathing area at the Wocherhafen. The harbour has long since gone, but the name has survived. The area today is a popular bathing spot with a parking lot, kiosk and public places to enjoy a barbecue.

The Jannersee lake is surrounded by green fields and trees in the marsh that is the Lauteracher Ried. That's why people call it ‘Riedsee’ and it’s also the perfect place for an escape from the city into the countryside.

Meeting place, barbecue area, bathing spot and insider tip for the most beautiful sunsets on Lake Constance. The Pipeline in Bregenz runs from Bregenz harbour to the Lochau open-air swimming area and offers plenty of places along the shore for a quick swim.

The natural bathing spot in the Schwarzbad Lochau is just the place to take some quality time out from everyday life and clear the mind by taking a plunge in Lake Constance. This section of the shore is open to bathers.

The Bruggerloch is a bathing lake that’s three hectares in size, seven metres deep and conveniently located directly next to the cycle path. But parking spaces are scarce.

The lakes that are the Paspels Seen, a favourite bathing spot for many locals, are to be found in Rankweil. Around 20 hectares of lake were created for recreation here – including swimming and angling.

The inland basin in Hard is framed on one side by the open-air swimming pool and the Grüne Damm (Green Dyke) on the other. Children can speed along the top of this dam on their trainer or kids’ bikes while others can throw rocks into the water and the adults can enjoy the view from it.

Rohrspitz is part of the Rhine Delta’s nature reserve and is therefore the ideal location for long walks or bike trips with places to stop for a quick refreshing dip in Lake Constance. The 300-metre long beach is a special attraction for families.
