The "Schollamoos" is located in the immediate vicinity of the centre of Alberschwende. In the past, peat was extracted from this moor. Today, a well-maintained walking path leads through the birch forests and the moor area. 

This is a place where excellent conditions for skiing can be expected: with 109 kilometres of ski runs and 29 ski lifts and cable cars Mellau Damüls Faschina is the largest ski area in the Bregenzerwald.

14 state-of-the-art cable cars and ski lifts, plus 55 km of top quality ski runs through stunning mountain scenery ensure an unrivalled winter experience. Snow-making equipment on 80% of the runs guarantees more than enough of the white stuff.
