It’s not absolutely necessary to travel to the sea to do some sailing. Lake Constance is so close and has the right port of call for all fans of the water.

The natural bathing spot in the Schwarzbad Lochau is just the place to take some quality time out from everyday life and clear the mind by taking a plunge in Lake Constance. This section of the shore is open to bathers.

Stand-up paddling, windsurfing, SUP yoga – Surfmax at the Hard's inner basin has it all. Alex and his team will not only provide training, tours and equipment for hire but will also create the appropriate ambience at their small stand on Lake Constance.

The Bruggerloch is a bathing lake that’s three hectares in size, seven metres deep and conveniently located directly next to the cycle path. But parking spaces are scarce.

The lakes that are the Paspels Seen, a favourite bathing spot for many locals, are to be found in Rankweil. Around 20 hectares of lake were created for recreation here – including swimming and angling.

And if spending time being active on the water is your thing and you want more than stand-up paddling, then it’s possible to qualify as a skipper at the sailing and motorboat school in Fußach and get the special boating licence for Lake Constance.

Rohrspitz is part of the Rhine Delta’s nature reserve and is therefore the ideal location for long walks or bike trips with places to stop for a quick refreshing dip in Lake Constance. The 300-metre long beach is a special attraction for families.

The Old Rhine meanders along the border with Switzerland into Lake Constance. The nature landscape of the Old Rhein promises an enjoyable leisure program for everybody. You may have walks in the evening or a bike ride along the Rhein. There are also barbecue spots where you can spend your time.

Where there’s water, there are sailing clubs. Sporer Yachting has assumed the corresponding role in Lochau to offer competent sailing instructors the opportunity to train curious sailing talents.
