Located in the rock massif behind the traditional “Gasthof Post”, the Vorarlberg Salt Grotto is accessible to both guests of the stylish hotel and non-residents. Constructed using 44 tons of Himalaya salt, it is the largest artificial salt grotto in Europe. Thanks to its sheltered position in the rock massif the grotto enjoys constant temperatures and a comfortable health-giving micro-climate with a high salt concentration.
The SALARIUM – pure enjoyment
Offering more specialised treatments, a further attraction of “Gasthof Post” is the so-called SALARIUM.
Also built from Himalaya salt this considerably smaller space is approximately twice as hot, attaining a temperature of 45°C due to the introduction of sea salt steam. The result is similar to a sauna infusion, but is brought about by means of a health-giving saline concentration. Visitors lie naked on a bath towel directly on the Himalaya salt granules. The soothing effect on existing aches and pains is similar to that experienced in the salt grotto, but the pleasant warmth adds considerably to the feeling of well-being.
