You can enjoy a great network of walking tracks as well as fabulous views over the Rhine Valley – expecially in the evening, when you look down onto a sea of lights. The Karren peak is a justifiably much-loved local meeting point, and for many reasons. For one thing, it is the starting point for lots of great walks. And eating in the panoramic restaurant at an altitude of 976 metres is an extremely pleasant experience!

Whether you want to eat or are merely heading out for some fresh mountain air, the cable car will whisk you up above the city rooftops in just five short minutes. In the daytime you can enjoy a panoramic view of three different countries, at night a stunning sea of lights.

Karren Corner with Selfie Point

This Dornbirn “local” mountain is the first destination in Vorarlberg to incorporate a twelve metre long footbridge. Visitors can walk out onto the observation deck to enjoy a breathtaking all-round view. Standing so to speak "in thin air", the view extends all the way from the spacious Rhine Valley, encompassing the vast expanse of Lake Constance, the mountains of Switzerland and beyond to the high peaks of the Vorarlberger Oberland.
