Variant skiing
The altitude difference of 1100 m on the north side of the mountain and the 500 m on the south side give the Niedere the best conditions for variant skiing.
The powder runs down to the valley on the Andelsbuch side and the firn runs to the Sonderdach on the Bezau side are particularly popular.
Don't be fooled by a mountain with the character of a low mountain range. All variants are potential avalanche slopes in corresponding snow conditions! Avalanche transceivers, shovels and probes are as much a part of off-piste skiing as skis!
If you are out in nature, you should also bear in mind that nature is a highly sensitive habitat for plants and animals that is worth protecting. Forests in particular have an important protective function. That is why the slogan "Respect your limits" is not just well-intentioned advice, but an appeal to all who practise sports in nature.
