The Spullersee is an originally natural high mountain lake in Vorarlberg. It was dammed up between 1919 and 1925 by the Austrian Federal Railways on the occasion of the electrification of the Arlberg Railway and has since been used for energy generation.

The Laguz-Alpe is located in a small side valley southwest of the Großes Walsertal (not to be confused with the better-known Kleines Walsertal!). This destination is interesting as a detour on the trip over the Faschina-Joch or as an independent, small tour.

Over the millennia the water in the mountain streams has carved out a series of breathtaking gullies. The sport of canyoning permits these canyons to be observed from a unique perspective.

Tucked away in the hills of the Klostertal the Alm Water Park is the fun place to go in summer. The natural bathing lake lies at the heart of the complex, which was newly built in 2014.

The Great Walser Valley can officially call itself a biosphere park, which indicates a high quality of life. For centuries, however, the population had to solve manifold problems in order to exist at all.
