It all began with the appearance of the Virgin Mary to a shepherd who was cured whilst bathing his injured foot in a spring. Soon thereafter a bath house was built, and the spot was christened the “red spring”.

Tucked away in the hills of the Klostertal the Alm Water Park is the fun place to go in summer. The natural bathing lake lies at the heart of the complex, which was newly built in 2014.

Visit the barefoot trail on the inner Parpfienz Alpe in Brand. The starting point is accessible in just a few minutes with the Dorfbahn cable car. From the top station simply walk (still wearing your shoes) towards the Innere Parpfienz Alpe.
