An experience for young and old alike

The altitude difference of 1100 m on the north side of the mountain and the 500 m on the south side give the Niedere the best conditions for variant skiing.

Thanks to its privileged location next to the cycle path, the Bezau swimming pool is ideal for arriving by bike. The biggest attraction for kids and youths is the bright blue double water slide.

Hiking trails for nature lovers

This is a place where excellent conditions for skiing can be expected: with 109 kilometres of ski runs and 29 ski lifts and cable cars Mellau Damüls Faschina is the largest ski area in the Bregenzerwald.

Above Schwarzenberg there is a small outdoor pool that packs a big punch - with fantastic views this is the sunniest and most peaceful spot around!

Alp Stafel is located at 1,540 m above sea level and can be reached in about 30 minutes on foot from the Faschina car park. Here you can buy mountain cheese as well as milk and fresh alpine butter.

With a total length of 76 kilometers, the “Bregenzerache” offers many possibilities for those who love water sports. The different river sections provide a wide range of difficulty levels.

Thematical trail along the Bolgenach in Hittisau as far as the Engenlochschlucht with its overhanging cliff formations.

The museum of local history in Alberschwende is spread over two locations. The show in the Arzthaus offers insights into the rural way of life and living culture of the 18th and 19th centuries. One focal point is dedicated to the career "From flax to linen".
