The dream route for discerning travellers

The Montafon Tourism Museum in Gaschurn is located in an old early fair house and has existed since 1992. For 17 years, the history of tourism was presented here, but since 2009 the house has been reoriented.

This hike takes you from the Hochjoch cable car mountain station through flowering alpine rose meadows to the Innerkapell alpine pasture (at 1,670 m), where, with a bit of luck, you can look over the dairyman's shoulder as he makes cheese. The way back is via the same route.

Over the centuries a local speciality spread through this southernmost valley in Vorarlberg: Montafoner Sura Kees.

The Montafon holiday region and especially the Kristberg are located perfectly when it comes to geomancy on the Austrian Alps. It is a magical part of the Alps full of legends and mystical mountain world.
