Where would you find a better place for a ski museum than in the snowiest village in the world? Enough said! The exhibition in the rectory encompasses 130 years of Vorarlberg skiing history as well as the history of ski racing in Vorarlberg.

The Great Walser Valley can officially call itself a biosphere park, which indicates a high quality of life. For centuries, however, the population had to solve manifold problems in order to exist at all.

The museum of local history in Alberschwende is spread over two locations. The show in the Arzthaus offers insights into the rural way of life and living culture of the 18th and 19th centuries. One focal point is dedicated to the career "From flax to linen".
