Ausflugsziele in Vorarlberg

The Alpsee mountain world between Immenstadt and Oberstaufen is one of the absolute leisure highlights in the Allgäu.

adventure mountain at an altitude of 1100 m.

The display collection of the "Walsermuseum" is located in the fire station and houses the extensive collection of the Heimatpflege- und Museumsverein Lech-Tannberg.

The "Schollamoos" is located in the immediate vicinity of the centre of Alberschwende. In the past, peat was extracted from this moor. Today, a well-maintained walking path leads through the birch forests and the moor area. 

This is a place where excellent conditions for skiing can be expected: with 109 kilometres of ski runs and 29 ski lifts and cable cars Mellau Damüls Faschina is the largest ski area in the Bregenzerwald.

Where would you find a better place for a ski museum than in the snowiest village in the world? Enough said! The exhibition in the rectory encompasses 130 years of Vorarlberg skiing history as well as the history of ski racing in Vorarlberg.

With the Skyspace-Lech of the internationally renowned artist James Turrell, the Arlberg has received a piece of art that invites to a unique experience of light and space. The focus is on the attentive perception of the light art developed by James Turrell.

Elisabeth Schwarzkopf ranks among the most important singers of the 20th century. Luckily, her extraordinary career as an opera and concert performer is well documented through a great number of recordings, which set standards until the present day.

„More realistic than a live opera” this entry in our visitors’ book sums up the philosophy of Lindau’s puppet theatre. When the audience forget that they are “only” viewing puppets then we have reached our goal.
