Ausflugsziele in Vorarlberg

The Bludenz town archivist Alfons Leuprecht (1867-1940) started a collection of historical, folkloristic and natural history objects related to Bludenz even before the First World War.

This museum houses a permanent collection of works by Vorarlberg artists since the 17th century, and also organises special exhibitions by leading figures in Vorarlberg art history.

The widely known and popular Sonnenkopf ski resort is located at the foot of the famous Arlberg.

The Dornbirn City Museum is housed in a 200-year-old patrician house directly on the market square. On three floors, selected objects and works of art present important chapters of the city's history.

Swimming, diving and training – all under one roof at the Dornbirn City Baths.

The building is reminiscent of a villa, the green outdoor areas are park-like and the character of the swimming baths is typical.

14 state-of-the-art cable cars and ski lifts, plus 55 km of top quality ski runs through stunning mountain scenery ensure an unrivalled winter experience. Snow-making equipment on 80% of the runs guarantees more than enough of the white stuff.

High above Lake Constance rises "The Meersburg", the landmark of the region. The old Meersburg, the new Meersburg Castle and the excellently preserved town as well as the vineyards around the town make the visit a special experience.

The open-air museum Villa Rustica, near the town of Rankweil, consists of three buildings of an ancient Roman farming estate, inhabited from the first to the fifth centuries A.D.

The Zeppelin is a pioneer of airship travel and over the years has become a real cult object.
