When water turns to stones

The summer toboggan run, with its racy steep-sided curves and brilliant jumps, is the drawcard for many parents as well as children! The only classic summer toboggan run in Vorarlberg, it provides tremendous fun for young and old alike.

In early 2018 a new climbing route was established on the massive Fallbachwand by the waterfall of the same name, known hitherto only to ice climbers.

Just below St. Gerold priory the contemplation and meditation trail winds its way past a series of carefully designed woodland pools through the stillness of the forest.

In a fairytale forest, at the entrance to Sibratsgfäll, lies the idyllic natural moor bath.

The Laguz-Alpe is located in a small side valley southwest of the Großes Walsertal (not to be confused with the better-known Kleines Walsertal!). This destination is interesting as a detour on the trip over the Faschina-Joch or as an independent, small tour.

This hike takes you from the Hochjoch cable car mountain station through flowering alpine rose meadows to the Innerkapell alpine pasture (at 1,670 m), where, with a bit of luck, you can look over the dairyman's shoulder as he makes cheese. The way back is via the same route.

Over the centuries a local speciality spread through this southernmost valley in Vorarlberg: Montafoner Sura Kees.
