Ausflugsziele in Vorarlberg

The Montafon mining museum in Silbertal is an outstanding example of family-friendly history education. All age groups can experience the exciting world of mining in this exhibition and get to know first-hand the mining ways of life of bygone days.

A women's museum? And one in a rural location? The Fraunemuseum Hittisau in the Bregenzerwald (Austria) shows that both are possible – and have been for over twenty years now. It was the initiative of Elisabeth Stöckler that brought about the founding of the museum in 2000.

An exhibition at two locations about cleaning as a cultural technique and about an extra-clean world FMH Women's Museum Hittisau and Lech Museum

This museum is dedicated to Vorarlberg’s best known writer and poet who lived in the 19th century.

In the hinterland of Lake Constance lies one of the most beautiful castles in Upper Swabia. Rural idylls with orchards and hop gardens characterise its surroundings.

This museum houses a permanent collection of works by Vorarlberg artists since the 17th century, and also organises special exhibitions by leading figures in Vorarlberg art history.  

 

A comprehensive interactive exhibition on the fascinating world of the Arlberg region – from historic moments to heroic pioneers – awaits visitors at the Hall of Fame.

The Alamannen-Museumsdorf Mäder is dedicated to the history and culture of the Alamanni, who immigrated to Vorarlberg in the 2nd half of the 6th century AD at the latest. They subsequently shaped the language, customs and mentality of the region.
