The lakes that are the Paspels Seen, a favourite bathing spot for many locals, are to be found in Rankweil. Around 20 hectares of lake were created for recreation here – including swimming and angling.

Anglers beware! If you have your fishing equipment with you, there is the possibility to buy day tickets (from 6:00-22:00) for fishing on the old Rhein. With the day ticket you can fish in the whole area 45 (Rhein 3 – Alter Rhein/Hohenemser Kurve), from Altach to Lustenau.

14 state-of-the-art cable cars and ski lifts, plus 55 km of top quality ski runs through stunning mountain scenery ensure an unrivalled winter experience. Snow-making equipment on 80% of the runs guarantees more than enough of the white stuff.

The Spullersee is an originally natural high mountain lake in Vorarlberg. It was dammed up between 1919 and 1925 by the Austrian Federal Railways on the occasion of the electrification of the Arlberg Railway and has since been used for energy generation.
