For half a century, the equipment of the shoemaker workshop of Karl Nachbauer (grandfather of the Schubertiade’s managing director Gerd Nachbauer) had been stowed away. Now it is on display in a small shoemaker museum, which takes up two rooms at Marktstraße 15.

Immerse yourself in the warmth of our thermal pools and let yourself drift away from the stresses and strains of everyday life: In the 33 degree warm indoor pool you will be gently washed around on bubble loungers by the healing mineral thermal water.

This museum houses a permanent collection of works by Vorarlberg artists since the 17th century, and also organises special exhibitions by leading figures in Vorarlberg art history.  

 

The baroque cathedral with its dominant double-tower façade is the magnificent landmark of the city of St.Gallen. Together with the Abbey District and the Abbey Library, it forms a unique historical ensemble.
