Bärenland (The Land of Bears) on the family-friendly fun-filled Sonnenkopf mountain in the Klostertal is every little adventurer’s dream.

Just below St. Gerold priory the contemplation and meditation trail winds its way past a series of carefully designed woodland pools through the stillness of the forest.

Over the millennia the water in the mountain streams has carved out a series of breathtaking gullies. The sport of canyoning permits these canyons to be observed from a unique perspective.

The Spullersee is an originally natural high mountain lake in Vorarlberg. It was dammed up between 1919 and 1925 by the Austrian Federal Railways on the occasion of the electrification of the Arlberg Railway and has since been used for energy generation.

Located in the rock massif behind the traditional “Gasthof Post”, the Vorarlberg Salt Grotto is accessible to both guests of the stylish hotel and non-residents. Constructed using 44 tons of Himalaya salt, it is the largest artificial salt grotto in Europe.

An ancient Walser house over 300 years old gives an insight into the life and work of mountain farmers in days gone by.
