In early 2018 a new climbing route was established on the massive Fallbachwand by the waterfall of the same name, known hitherto only to ice climbers.

The Great Walser Valley can officially call itself a biosphere park, which indicates a high quality of life. For centuries, however, the population had to solve manifold problems in order to exist at all.

The Laguz-Alpe is located in a small side valley southwest of the Großes Walsertal (not to be confused with the better-known Kleines Walsertal!). This destination is interesting as a detour on the trip over the Faschina-Joch or as an independent, small tour.

An ancient Walser house over 300 years old gives an insight into the life and work of mountain farmers in days gone by.

Just below St. Gerold priory the contemplation and meditation trail winds its way past a series of carefully designed woodland pools through the stillness of the forest.

With a total area of 1,400 m², the "Alvierbad" natural bathing lake in Brand is fed with pure drinking water. A regeneration area featuring many thousands of different water plants cleanses and filters the water organically to ensure a pristine environment.

The Brandnertal Bike Park offers downhill biking of all standards, from the easy, flowing Freeride route right up to the competition level Downhill run.  

Visit the barefoot trail on the inner Parpfienz Alpe in Brand. The starting point is accessible in just a few minutes with the Dorfbahn cable car. From the top station simply walk (still wearing your shoes) towards the Innere Parpfienz Alpe.
