Ausflugsziele in Vorarlberg

In the attic of the multi-purpose building Nr. 137 in Damüls a new highlight for children was installed - a more than 170 m² large indoor playground. The new "games paradise" will delight children and parents not only in bad weather!

The mountain station of the Uga Express awaits you with an impressive mountain panorama, a large water playground and the sun terraces of the Berggasthof Elsenalpstube and the Berggasthof Uga-Alp.

The specialities are the goat's and cow's milk cheeses produced on the alp (as Brettljause with pesto, as a salad with balsamic vinegar or fried with bacon strips or sesame) and the fresh pancakes.

This is a place where excellent conditions for skiing can be expected: with 109 kilometres of ski runs and 29 ski lifts and cable cars Mellau Damüls Faschina is the largest ski area in the Bregenzerwald.

Numerous stations on the path, a forest room, an upland moor and a natural area are part of this thematic trail through the Rotenberg forest in Lingenau.

The swimming pool features numerous lanes for lap swimming. The non-swimming area features a wide slide, fountain shower and a small climbing net. The large yellow-orange 55-m adventure slide with its many curves is especially popular with kids and teens.

Under the trade mark “Gsiberger” the Bentele family makes quality schnapps from a variety of fruits and roots. These are also used by the Maître Chocolatier for the production of tasty praline chocolates.

The altitude difference of 1100 m on the north side of the mountain and the 500 m on the south side give the Niedere the best conditions for variant skiing.

Along the Felder Trail, which leads from Hinterhopfreben to Schoppernau, panels with quotations from the work of Franz Michael Felder point out important aspects of his life.

Alpe Wildmoos is located in Bezau, at the foot of the Winterstaude at 1400 metres above sea level and is easily accessible by the "Bezau" cable car. We manage the alp with 30 cows and process the milk according to old tradition to alp mountain cheese, butter, curd and yoghurt.
