The Dornbirn City Museum is housed in a 200-year-old patrician house directly on the market square. On three floors, selected objects and works of art present important chapters of the city's history.

The Kunstmuseum St. Gallen, with its attractive, temporary exhibitions of contemporary and modern art, enjoys international renown.

The former residence of the prince-bishops of Constance is particularly striking for its picturesque location on the steep slope high above the shores of Lake Constance. From the terrace there is a magnificent view of the panorama of the Alps - an almost Mediterranean flair can be felt here.

Since July 2016, the vineum bodensee - House for Wine, Culture and History in the historic Heilig-Geist-Spital in the city of Meersburg has enriched the city's cultural offerings.

This museum houses a permanent collection of works by Vorarlberg artists since the 17th century, and also organises special exhibitions by leading figures in Vorarlberg art history.  

 

The St. Gallen Abbey UNESCO World Heritage Site designation not only encompasses the world renowned Baroque hall in the abbey library and the imposing cathedral. It also includes the «miracles of our written heritage».

The Franz Schubert Museum traces the great Viennese composer’s life and work in rooms that were built shortly before his birth.

Charming Biedermeier, lovingly preserved - this is how the house presents itself that belonged to the poet Annette von Droste-Hülshoff 175 years ago.

The Vorarlberg Regional Museum – now known as the Vorarlberg Museum – was founded in 1857, making it one of the oldest museums in the Lake Constance area. Its collections are based on specifically Vorarlberg-orientated themes, whilst retaining national and international links where relevant.

The museum, which is housed in a typical Bregenzerwald farmhouse from the 18th century, provides insights into the living style and circumstances in a region that continues to be characterised by timber architecture.
