The historic Schattenburg

The Historical and Ethnological Museum has been located in the St.Gallen City Park for almost 100 years. It is an important bearer of the historical memory of the city, and to some extent also of the canton.

The Egg Museum was founded as a local history museum in 1904. It is the oldest valley museum in the state of Vorarlberg. In 1988 it was reopened after several years of storage of the inventory in the old elementary school. The collection focuses on the Bregenzerwald region.

The Kunstmuseum St. Gallen, with its attractive, temporary exhibitions of contemporary and modern art, enjoys international renown.
