The Natural History Museum invites visitors to explore the regional fauna and minerals up close.

The former residence of the prince-bishops of Constance is particularly striking for its picturesque location on the steep slope high above the shores of Lake Constance. From the terrace there is a magnificent view of the panorama of the Alps - an almost Mediterranean flair can be felt here.

For half a century, the equipment of the shoemaker workshop of Karl Nachbauer (grandfather of the Schubertiade’s managing director Gerd Nachbauer) had been stowed away. Now it is on display in a small shoemaker museum, which takes up two rooms at Marktstraße 15.

This museum houses a permanent collection of works by Vorarlberg artists since the 17th century, and also organises special exhibitions by leading figures in Vorarlberg art history.  

 

The new jewel in the cultural crown of East Switzerland and Lake Constance is the museum located at St. Gallen airport in Altenrhein. Housing an unrivalled collection of planes and motor vehicles, the museum has a character all its own - visitors will be astounded!

Hofwüstung Schöneberg und Wang-Hus At the beginning of the 20th century, house no. 2/4 on Schöneberg, which is first mentioned in written sources in the 15th century, was demolished. In 2012, the wall remains of the courtyard deserted were archaeologically investigated.

The Kunstmuseum St. Gallen, with its attractive, temporary exhibitions of contemporary and modern art, enjoys international renown.

The display collection of the "Walsermuseum" is located in the fire station and houses the extensive collection of the Heimatpflege- und Museumsverein Lech-Tannberg.

The Montafon Tourism Museum in Gaschurn is located in an old early fair house and has existed since 1992. For 17 years, the history of tourism was presented here, but since 2009 the house has been reoriented.
