Ausflugsziele in Vorarlberg

A women's museum? And one in a rural location? The Fraunemuseum Hittisau in the Bregenzerwald (Austria) shows that both are possible – and have been for over twenty years now. It was the initiative of Elisabeth Stöckler that brought about the founding of the museum in 2000.

The Vorarlberg World of Museums combines seven museums under one roof.

The former residence of the prince-bishops of Constance is particularly striking for its picturesque location on the steep slope high above the shores of Lake Constance. From the terrace there is a magnificent view of the panorama of the Alps - an almost Mediterranean flair can be felt here.

With the Skyspace Lech by the internationally renowned artist James Turrell, the Arlberg receives a work of art that invites to a unique experience of the perception of light and space.
