The Great Walser Valley can officially call itself a biosphere park, which indicates a high quality of life. For centuries, however, the population had to solve manifold problems in order to exist at all.

Hopfengut No20 is located above the hills of the hop town of Tettnang and combines hop cultivation, brewery, museum, shop and restaurant under one roof.

The Historical and Ethnological Museum has been located in the St.Gallen City Park for almost 100 years. It is an important bearer of the historical memory of the city, and to some extent also of the canton.
