Ausflugsziele in Vorarlberg

The Great Walser Valley can officially call itself a biosphere park, which indicates a high quality of life. For centuries, however, the population had to solve manifold problems in order to exist at all.

This museum is dedicated to Vorarlberg’s best known writer and poet who lived in the 19th century.

The FLATZ Museum in the former premises of the Alte Naturschau goes back to a donation of works by the artist FLATZ, born in Dornbirn in 1952, to the city of Dornbirn. It was opened in 2009 by the former documenta director Jan Hoet.

A comprehensive interactive exhibition on the fascinating world of the Arlberg region – from historic moments to heroic pioneers – awaits visitors at the Hall of Fame.

The Vorarlberg Regional Museum – now known as the Vorarlberg Museum – was founded in 1857, making it one of the oldest museums in the Lake Constance area. Its collections are based on specifically Vorarlberg-orientated themes, whilst retaining national and international links where relevant.
