The unbridled force of nature in a delightful setting

Daniel Swarovski, who founded his cut crystal company in Wattens, Tyrol, in 1895, had the vision from the very beginning to regard crystal not only as a material, but also as an inspiration.

It’s said that the Nenzinger Himmel is ‘the only heaven on earth’. It’s mostly a picturesque hiking area where it seems as if time has stood still – pure idyll. It’s possible to hike to the Pfälzer Hütte or to take the circular route past the blue mountain lake to the Alpe Setsch.

Nature, herbs and their endless wealth have fascinated me for many years.
I pass on "old" and "new" knowledge during herbal walks and workshops.
In my herb workshop there are cooking events with chefs and cooking courses on various topics.

Die Gustav is the international salon for exceptional design and the culture of pleasure. From handmade jewellery and design-oriented sofas to gourmet spices and organic wine – there’s always something from what the region has to offer and something to meet the demands of good taste.

Curlews, black-tailed godwits, even corn crakes have found a home in the marsh that is the Lauteracher Ried. As have larks, stonechats and whinchats that have long since died out elsewhere.

Neuschwanstein was opened to the public in 1886, only seven weeks after the death of König Ludwig II. The unsociable king had built the castle to enable him to withdraw from the public eye – perversely, his hideaway has now become a major tourist attraction

The lakes that are the Paspels Seen, a favourite bathing spot for many locals, are to be found in Rankweil. Around 20 hectares of lake were created for recreation here – including swimming and angling.

The Rhine Delta nature reserve extends over an area of 2,000 hectares. It is characterised by alluvial forests, wet and bedding meadows, reed beds and extensive sandy beaches and is a breeding and resting ground for birds.
