When water turns to stones

The "Schollamoos" is located in the immediate vicinity of the centre of Alberschwende. In the past, peat was extracted from this moor. Today, a well-maintained walking path leads through the birch forests and the moor area. 

Vitality of the moor

The manageable ski area offers stress-free winter fun all winter long. Free travel on the slopes, fast progress on the lifts and the varied offer at moderate prices make Laterns a real pleasure for families.

The altitude difference of 1100 m on the north side of the mountain and the 500 m on the south side give the Niedere the best conditions for variant skiing.

Around 20 hectares of lake areas were created through gravel dredging. These lakes have become a sought-after recreational area. The clean groundwater lying in a gravel basin is used for fishing and bathing. The lake can largely be walked around.

The Golf Club Lindau-Bad Schachen e.V. is located near the castle "Schönbühl" in the north of the popular island town Lindau on Lake Constance. With its breathtaking view of Lake Constance and the nearby Alps, the Golf-Club Lindau-Bad Schachen e.V.

With a total area of 1,400 m², the "Alvierbad" natural bathing lake in Brand is fed with pure drinking water. A regeneration area featuring many thousands of different water plants cleanses and filters the water organically to ensure a pristine environment.

With the Skyspace-Lech of the internationally renowned artist James Turrell, the Arlberg has received a piece of art that invites to a unique experience of light and space. The focus is on the attentive perception of the light art developed by James Turrell.

In early 2018 a new climbing route was established on the massive Fallbachwand by the waterfall of the same name, known hitherto only to ice climbers.
