Ausflugsziele in Vorarlberg

The symbol of the city of Bregenz, the Martin’s Tower offers not only fabulous panoramic views of the mountains, town and lake but also, thanks to the historical exhibition it contains, a deep insight into the city’s fascinating history.

This museum houses a permanent collection of works by Vorarlberg artists since the 17th century, and also organises special exhibitions by leading figures in Vorarlberg art history.

The Vorarlberg World of Museums combines seven museums under one roof.

The imposing neo-baroque church building from 1914 with double towers and a mighty dome dominates the townscape and is also called the "Cathedral of the Western Allgäu" because of its size.

High above Lake Constance rises "The Meersburg", the landmark of the region. The old Meersburg, the new Meersburg Castle and the excellently preserved town as well as the vineyards around the town make the visit a special experience.

The oldest parts of the building originate from the 15th century and the long corridors of the upper floors give us an idea of the architecture of the late Middle Ages. The urban flair of the building is the result of the boom of the mining period.

The Kunstmuseum St. Gallen, with its attractive, temporary exhibitions of contemporary and modern art, enjoys international renown.

The Great Walser Valley can officially call itself a biosphere park, which indicates a high quality of life. For centuries, however, the population had to solve manifold problems in order to exist at all.
