This museum is dedicated to Vorarlberg’s best known writer and poet who lived in the 19th century.

Hans Bäumler’s unique private collection encompasses over 100 masterpieces from artists as varied as Spitzweg, Waldmüller Monet, Renoir, Gauguin and Picasso; 130 years of art history presented in a pattern and with a compactness seldom found elsewhere.

This museum houses a permanent collection of works by Vorarlberg artists since the 17th century, and also organises special exhibitions by leading figures in Vorarlberg art history.  

 

Doing lengths inside while catching glimpses of Lake Constance outside. The generously built indoor Seehallenbad is only a stone’s throw from the lake shore and combines a wide variety of pools for people seriously into swimming and people doing it for fun as well as water lovers.

Basking in the light of Lake Constance, the Bregenz Art Gallery (Kunsthaus) is Vorarlberg’s modern art Mecca.

The Bludenz town archivist Alfons Leuprecht (1867-1940) started a collection of historical, folkloristic and natural history objects related to Bludenz even before the First World War.

Located in the rock massif behind the traditional “Gasthof Post”, the Vorarlberg Salt Grotto is accessible to both guests of the stylish hotel and non-residents. Constructed using 44 tons of Himalaya salt, it is the largest artificial salt grotto in Europe.
