Ausflugsziele in Vorarlberg

The Mittelweiherburg is Vorarlbergs only moated castle.

The symbol of the city of Bregenz, the Martin’s Tower offers not only fabulous panoramic views of the mountains, town and lake but also, thanks to the historical exhibition it contains, a deep insight into the city’s fascinating history.

The Steinblock bouldering hall in Dornbirn opened on 1 August. Bouldering - climbing at jumping height without a rope, but on thick mats - has become increasingly popular in recent years.

The summer toboggan run, with its racy steep-sided curves and brilliant jumps, is the drawcard for many parents as well as children! The only classic summer toboggan run in Vorarlberg, it provides tremendous fun for young and old alike.

This museum houses a permanent collection of works by Vorarlberg artists since the 17th century, and also organises special exhibitions by leading figures in Vorarlberg art history.  

 

The Kühne family has been running the agricultural estate in Meiningen for several centuries. It was always characterized by strong personalities who pursued their interests consistently and conscientiously.

Using plans, models, photos and documents, “Rhein-Schauen” in Lustenau has been illustrating the local history of this section of the Rhine, forming the border between Vorarlberg and Switzerland before flowing into Lake Constance, for over 25 years.

The Vorarlberg World of Museums combines seven museums under one roof.

The Alamannen-Museumsdorf Mäder is dedicated to the history and culture of the Alamanni, who immigrated to Vorarlberg in the 2nd half of the 6th century AD at the latest. They subsequently shaped the language, customs and mentality of the region.

Patrick's in Rankweil offers a leisure venue where billiards, snooker or darts can be played. In addition, different tournaments are organised throughout the year. The billiard centre is open daily.
