The Natural History Museum invites visitors to explore the regional fauna and minerals up close.

The Angelika Kauffmann Museum in Schwarzenberg is a typical Bregenzerwald house from the 16th century with modern showrooms.

The Vorarlberg Regional Museum – now known as the Vorarlberg Museum – was founded in 1857, making it one of the oldest museums in the Lake Constance area. Its collections are based on specifically Vorarlberg-orientated themes, whilst retaining national and international links where relevant.

The former residence of the prince-bishops of Constance is particularly striking for its picturesque location on the steep slope high above the shores of Lake Constance. From the terrace there is a magnificent view of the panorama of the Alps - an almost Mediterranean flair can be felt here.

The Great Walser Valley can officially call itself a biosphere park, which indicates a high quality of life. For centuries, however, the population had to solve manifold problems in order to exist at all.

Daniel Swarovski, who founded his cut crystal company in Wattens, Tyrol, in 1895, had the vision from the very beginning to regard crystal not only as a material, but also as an inspiration.

This museum houses a permanent collection of works by Vorarlberg artists since the 17th century, and also organises special exhibitions by leading figures in Vorarlberg art history.
